How we work
Every one of us has a unique story to tell: of how we came to be in the world, of the relationships and experiences of our early years and what happened next. These stories that we began telling ourselves when we were very young, to manage challenging experiences, can become very fixed beliefs about ourselves and what we can expect from others. In adulthood these beliefs can act as a straight-jacket on our thoughts, feelings and behaviours, limiting ‘who we are’ and ‘how we are’ in the world.
Each day, every one of us makes thousands of decisions that determine the course of our lives, and each decision is an opportunity to create the life we want for ourselves and those we love. To set ourselves free.
Our work together, whether as an individual or as a couple, will seek to create a new level of awareness of your thoughts and feelings, your needs and desires. This deepened awareness allows us to effectively communicate our desires and needs to our significant others and we are rewarded for our efforts and commitment to feeling more alive, fulfilled and truly richer for the experience.
Recent advances in Neuroscience and Neuro-Psychology have confirmed the significance of our early relationships on the way our brains develop. The good news is that there is also evidence that within a supportive relationship, we create new neural pathways – new ways of being – whatever our age, whatever our individual histories.
It is never too late to bring about change in our relationships and in our lives.
