I work with individuals and couples from my practice in the centre of Lewes. My experience is that the therapeutic process works through having a “trusted-other” authentically acknowledging and understanding what it is really like to be you.
Over the years, I have been privileged to build relationships with a diverse range of clients: from those suffering the consequences of severe trauma, those experiencing relationship difficulties and breakdowns, anxiety and depression, to those clients who are committed to personal growth and want to further enrich their lives.
The core therapeutic model that I use in my work is Transactional Analysis. It offers us the potential to work in the short-term to relieve distress, as well as the option of working at depth, using a relational approach, to address underlying psychological structures that are largely outside our awareness and yet have a profound impact on our existence.
I have expanded my professional knowledge to include other theoretical frameworks and approaches including mindfulness based techniques, as well as undertaking specific training in working with trauma.
I am very aware of the significant psychological commitment and financial cost of my clients, and I am always mindful to ensure the most effective use of your time and money to best meet your therapeutic needs and objectives.
I am committed to continuing my own professional and personal development and abide by the ethical framework of the BACP.
